About the Role

CBase Inc is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team as a Category Expert. This is a hybrid role that requires strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex contracts and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the company in business transactions with internal and external organizations, ensuring effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategic programs to meet the needs of internal stakeholders, addressing pricing, acquisition, total cost, lead-time, and supply.
  • Manage contracts and suppliers, creating and negotiating long-term agreements that promote strategic partnerships.
  • Work closely with internal customers and stakeholders to understand their business needs, objectives, product/service requirements, and operational processes.
  • Effectively communicate with management levels both internally and externally, identifying opportunities for improvement and making constructive suggestions for change.
  • Assist with the Training program for the Procurement & Supply Chain team and the Supplier Diversity program, as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Finance.
  • 3 years of related work experience, with demonstrable skills in category management, commercial negotiations, securing hard savings, and cost avoidance.
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred, with 7 years of related work experience, knowledge of Source to Pay systems, strong project management skills, and process mapping abilities.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, with a potential to lead a team and possess strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of supply chain concepts, with work experience applying those concepts, negotiating and influencing skills, and self-directed with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Business understanding, particularly in project management, early supplier involvement, total cost management, and financial analysis, with proficiency in Excel and a high ethical standard.
