Position Overview: Commodity Buyer

We are looking for a talented and dedicated professional to take on the role of a Commodity Buyer. This position is crucial in managing our relationships with suppliers and ensuring that we meet our customers' needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.

• Formulate and execute a comprehensive Commodity Strategy or Sub Commodity Strategy.

• Collaborate with existing suppliers and explore new sourcing opportunities that align with our Commodity Strategy.

• Identify new suppliers that fit within the strategic framework.

• Achieve annual cost-saving targets while adhering to contractual obligations and negotiating favorable Long-Term Agreements.

• Monitor and enhance Purchase Price Variance (PPV) performance, implementing improvement plans as necessary.

• Conduct negotiations and renegotiations of long-term agreements with suppliers.

• Maintain governance and ownership of Long-Term Agreements for assigned suppliers.

• Prepare requests for quotations, analyze responses, and implement changes to optimize Total Acquisition Cost in line with the Commodity Strategy.

• Recommend and facilitate changes in suppliers when necessary.

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in strategic or commodity buying.
