The specialist will also be responsible for translating documents between Korean and English, preparing briefings, and collaborating with various defense and intelligence organizations. Proficiency in utilizing intelligence automated systems and managing intelligence information-sharing databases is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis utilizing intelligence and information from various sources to evaluate, interpret, predict, and clarify a range of national security issues and developments that are either regional or functional.
  • Generate intelligence products related to North Korea, focusing on its military, political leadership, national military strategy, strategic doctrine, regional relations, and security concerns.
  • Assist in drafting or authoring intelligence assessments regarding specific countries and/or regions based on political characteristics and/or military capabilities.
  • Translate, conduct quality reviews, and update all documents and products between Korean and English, as requested by the Government.
  • Prepare Intelligence Information Reports (IIR).

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Track and coordinate intelligence production requirements, preparing studies, publications, and briefings.
  • Maintain and manipulate intelligence information-sharing databases, data formats, and products, as well as shared directories.
  • Utilize intelligence automated systems such as COLISEUM, MIDB, MARS, CHROME, HOTR, CRATE, and other multi-intelligence disciplines and analysis tools.
  • Collaborate with USINDOPACOM, Services, Intelligence Community (IC), and DIA HQ production personnel to coordinate and synchronize all-source intelligence.
  • Act as U.S. J22/C22 points of contact (POC) to the Republic of Korea (ROK) Ministry of National Defense (MND), Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), and component commands to facilitate DIA collaboration on tradecraft standards.
  • Facilitate data entry and retrieval in support of coordinated prioritization of community efforts and maintenance to correct USFK J2-identified ADB and MIDB/MARS deficiencies.
  • Participate in multiple exercises annually.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the assigned domain.

Qualifications:

  • Clear understanding of DIA writing, tradecraft, and briefing.
  • Familiarity with classified research tools.
  • Comfort in briefing senior leadership.
  • Experience working alongside host nation partners.
  • Knowledge of MIDB or equivalent system operating procedures and production standards.
  • Ability to identify data gaps, corruption, and record associations to ensure data currency, quality, and consistency.

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with current in-scope CI/Poly.

Required Education & Experience:

  • 8+ years of Intelligence Analysis experience and either a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
