About the Position

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber, Inc. (FTCH) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team in Toledo and Kalamazoo offices. As a key member of our Land Development team, you will be responsible for planning and designing Civil and Land Development projects, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and design Civil and Land Development projects, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utilities.
  • Perform design calculations, quantify bid items, develop cost estimates, and prepare reports.
  • Research zoning ordinances, design standards, and permitting regulations and prepare submittals.
  • Assist with drafting and plan production utilizing AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
  • Work with a multi-discipline team of architects, MEP, and structural engineers on a variety of projects including Higher Education, Retail, Commercial, Industrial, and others.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering Technology.
  • 1+ years of experience in land development or general civil engineering.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD required; Civil 3D preferred.
  • Strong computer and communication skills.
