Position Summary:
As part of our expanding Civil/Municipal Division, we are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to contribute to various projects across the Midwest. This role involves collaboration with licensed engineers to design and prepare a range of commercial, industrial, energy, water/wastewater, and community projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with MSG engineers to develop and prepare designs for diverse projects.
2. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including Surveying, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, and Transportation.
3. Conduct and verify design calculations, ensuring accuracy in design packages.
4. Prepare essential documents such as feasibility studies, due diligence reports, zoning analyses, project development plans, stormwater modeling, cost estimates, and detailed design plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- EI certification in Ohio, with a pathway to obtain PE certification within 6 to 12 months.
- Familiarity with industry design standards and specifications.
- Proficient in AutoCAD/Civil 3D grading.
- Experience in independent preparation of Hydraulic/Hydrologic reports is advantageous.
- Roadway design and survey experience are beneficial.
Essential Skills:
Strong communication and coordination skills are vital for engaging with reviewing agencies and addressing technical comments during the design process.
