About the Role:

The Patient Access Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience at JPS Health Network. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for registering patients, verifying insurance information, and collecting patient owed costs. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will make a significant impact on our patients' satisfaction and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Registration and Verification: Accurately identify patients and register them in our system, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and billing.
  2. Insurance and Financial Management: Verify patients' insurance information, collect patient owed costs, and reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift.
  3. Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate and schedule appointments, select appropriate referrals, and ensure patients receive the care they need in a timely manner.
  4. Quality Assurance and Productivity: Maintain daily Epic work queues, quality assurance, and established productivity levels with minimal errors.
  5. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring a positive experience throughout JPS Health Network.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Professional Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year of experience in a Patient Access/Patient Accounting role, Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA), and bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, or other languages.
