The Patient Access Representative PRN is a key member of the JPS Health Network team, responsible for ensuring seamless patient flow and exceptional customer experience. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Greets and directs patients and visitors, utilizing AIDET principles to provide a positive first impression.
- Accurately registers patients, maintaining regulatory and functional knowledge of all required information.
- Explains and secures consent for registration forms, including general consent forms and patient rights and responsibilities.
- Collects patient owed cost sharing amounts and reconciles cash drawer at end of shift.
- Acquires precertification status for applicable services and coordinates scheduling appointments.
- Maintains daily Epic work queue, quality assurance, and productivity levels with minimal errors.
- Provides exceptional customer service, complying with JPS Health Network's attendance and punctuality procedure.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in patient access or patient accounting.
- Experience using Microsoft Professional Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Patient Access - General Consent Orientation and Patient Financial Experience Training (if assigned to specific roles).
- 1+ year of experience in a Patient Access/Patient Accounting role.
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification.
- Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, or other languages.
