Position Summary
We are currently seeking candidates with a background in the Sign and Graphics sector. Tennessee Sign Company, a rapidly expanding leader in the Sign and Graphics industry, is looking to appoint a local Market Operations Manager for the Clarksville area. The successful applicant will possess substantial experience in business development, adept at cultivating local customer relationships through various strategies, and will embody the professionalism, dedication, and integrity that align with our brand values. This role involves converting sales leads into loyal clients by understanding customer requirements, presenting job proposals, finalizing sales, overseeing the smooth transition from sales to production, managing change orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction through a robust quality control process.

Key Responsibilities
The Market Operations Manager will oversee and enhance our sales strategy to meet annual revenue targets and achieve consistent gross profit margins. This individual will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that every customer interaction aligns with our service and quality standards. Responsibilities may include:
  • Ensuring all project estimates accurately reflect the customer's needs.
  • Meeting market sales revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Maintaining and utilizing order management software effectively.
  • Participating in weekly sales meetings and providing accurate monthly sales performance reports.
  • Coordinating with assigned Project Coordinators for each sold job.
  • Organizing sales documentation and tracking job progress to meet management and customer expectations.
  • Implementing company-wide customer service principles throughout the sales process.
  • Establishing sales pricing guidelines based on comprehensive market knowledge.
  • Responding promptly to all sales-related inquiries.
  • Ensuring all necessary authorizations are secured before project commencement and following proper procedures for payment collection.
  • Understanding local sign regulations and facilitating permit acquisition for customer projects.
  • Developing both internal and external sales referral opportunities.

Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with a background in the Sign and Graphics sector. A proactive sales approach is essential. To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance with a commercial use rider; reliable transportation is necessary.
  • At least three years of experience in a Sales or Estimator role within a comparable organization.
  • Strong communication skills, including public speaking abilities.
  • Integrity and strategic thinking skills are essential.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret job estimates and reports.
  • Proficient in advanced computer skills, including various software applications.
  • Capability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, gross margins, and other financial metrics.
  • Ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety regulations and procedure manuals, and to write routine reports.
  • Effective English communication skills for interactions with customers and colleagues.
