Position Summary

The Asset Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Asset Division by generating and monitoring reports, documenting processes, and coordinating operational strategies related to our trailer pool.

This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, focusing on enhancing operational and procedural efficiencies through thorough analysis and teamwork.

Reporting directly to the Asset Maintenance Lead, you will collaborate closely to drive growth in trailer acquisition and management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with repair and maintenance vendors to manage logistics effectively.
  • Diagnose trailer breakdowns through communication channels.
  • Source and negotiate with third-party vendors for trailer repair and maintenance services, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Perform daily data entry and management using various technological tools.
  • Record and update asset acquisitions, statuses, and locations accurately.
  • Track and report compliance with registration and insurance requirements.
  • Gather information, collaborate with teams and leadership, and provide updates on trailer statuses and locations.
  • Optimize organizational practices through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Execute miscellaneous administrative and clerical tasks as needed.

  • Familiarity with freight trailers, their systems, parts, and mechanical operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced data entry skills.

  • Customer service experience with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Administrative experience is preferred.
  • A degree is advantageous.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
