Job Summary

The Vermont Department of Economic Development seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to support the delivery of various economic development programs. As an Economic Development Specialist II, you will work closely with program managers to develop, manage, and monitor state grant programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultative and technical support to program managers in the development and implementation of economic development initiatives.
  • Assist in the management and monitoring of state grant programs, ensuring compliance with program requirements and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for economic growth and development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including businesses, organizations, and community groups.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform economic development strategies and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as economics, business administration, or public policy.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in economic development, program management, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
