Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to nursing staff to improve their clinical practice and leadership skills.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of education and training programs.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify areas for education and training.
- Design and deliver education programs to meet the needs of nursing staff.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of education programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest nursing education trends and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
- At least 5 years of clinical experience in nursing, with 3 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Previous experience as a nursing instructor or educator is highly desirable.
- Current Vermont RN licensure and/or Advanced Practice licensure in Vermont.
- Unit-specific training certifications as required per specific department operational framework.
- Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification based on department specific guidelines.
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
- Specialty certification in Nursing Professional Development and 1 unit-specific certification preferred or obtained within two years of hire.
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- 7 years of clinical experience in nursing, with 3 years of experience in a hospital setting.
- Previous experience designing, facilitating, and validating education or training experiences.
- Fully proficient in all areas covered in Basic Integrated Nursing General Orientation.
- Proficient in EMR applications, workflows, documentation practices.
The salary range for this position is $58.20 per hour.
