Job Overview

The role oversees the comprehensive accounting functions, including general accounting, cost accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and treasury operations within Hawkfinds LLC. The primary objective is to ensure precise processing and oversight of all financial transactions while generating insightful and timely financial reports to aid in strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guarantee the prompt and precise preparation of all financial statements and statistical data for dissemination to management, the Board of Directors, creditors, and shareholders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Lead the accounting and payroll teams, ensuring efficient systems and processes are maintained.
  • Oversee the inventory and cost accounting functions to validate accurate cost of sales and inventory valuations.
  • Manage the monthly reconciliation of key accounts and coordinate the preparation of year-end audit documentation.
  • Supervise the accounts payable process to ensure vendor disbursements align with established management criteria and procedures, including the filing of Form 1099 tax information returns.
  • Direct the payroll operations to ensure procedures and systems function effectively, guaranteeing timely and accurate employee wage payments.
  • Handle the treasury operations to maintain precise control over cash, checks, and ACH transactions.
  • Engage with all management levels to address inquiries related to accounting data, analyses, reports, or procedures.
  • Facilitate training and development opportunities for employees to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
  • Participate in the selection and implementation of new systems that influence the Accounting/General Ledger functions.
  • Contribute to special projects and analyses as directed by the VP of Finance and Treasurer and the Executive Team.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in financial statement preparation, financial analysis, budgeting, and accounting controls.
  • At least 3 years of public accounting experience, with an active or inactive CPA certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role as an Accounting Manager or Controller, including oversight of Accounts Payable.
  • Experience in payroll supervision for a large workforce is essential.
  • Familiarity with UKG payroll software is preferred.
  • Experience in Cost Accounting and NetSuite software is advantageous.
