Job Summary

The Relationship Manager, Broker Sales is responsible for managing and facilitating the sales process for capital deployment or servicing opportunities represented by a broker or consultant. This role directly impacts how creditors, brokers, and the debt buying industry perceive Jefferson Capital and the value of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure access to broker portals and receive notifications of all bid opportunities within the scope of the assets we purchase and service.
  • Develop relationships with key decision makers and influencers within each broker organization.
  • Send out New File Notices to group email lists when new opportunities become available.
  • Establish secure file transmission connections with brokers to facilitate any file movement.
  • Facilitate creditors' (seller) onboarding or annual audit questionnaires received from the broker on behalf of the seller.
  • Prepare bi-weekly bid review meeting agenda and participate in bid review calls with pricing teams and senior leadership.
  • Work with brokers to gain pricing, performance, and competitive intelligence and provide guidance to pricing teams.
  • Submit pricing proposals via email, via auction portals, or live auctions.
  • Acquire, organize, and communicate all the necessary client information and activities completed pre-sale for an effective handoff to Client Services, Post Sale Support, and Operations.
  • Respond to broker phone calls and emails requests.
  • Maintain updates to the sales pipeline for all broker represented bid opportunities.
  • Maintain updates to the customer relationship management (CRM) databases.
  • Vet any new potential broker partnerships by facilitating a broker onboarding audit questionnaire and seeking organization approval.
  • Manage workload and competing priorities across multiple work groups, multiple brokers, and prospective bid opportunities.
Requirements
  • College degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience in sales support, client services, business development, or vendor management is highly desired, but not required.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels and functional areas of the company to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.
  • Highly organized and adaptable with the ability to successfully perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer).
  • Knowledge of the collections industry desired.
  • Knowledge of the customer relationship management system application is helpful but not required.
  • Results-driven.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, high ethical standards, and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
