Role Overview:
Become a key member of a dynamic team dedicated to supporting critical U.S. Air Force weapon system acquisition and maintenance initiatives. Engage with government program office personnel and various stakeholders to formulate acquisition and sustainment strategies and plans. Aid the Government in milestone preparation throughout all phases of the product lifecycle.

Support the Government in the technical assessment of prime/subcontractor proposals for operational and support challenges, including evaluations of Advance Change Study Notices (ACSNs), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Contractor Change Proposals (CCPs), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Bulletins, and associated documentation.

Generate and coordinate engineering analysis reports and draft acquisition planning documents, including RFI/RFQ/RFP packages and necessary review boards. Execute functions and review/create documents essential for engineering support, encompassing technical evaluations, engineering studies, engineering reports/analyses, and airworthiness documentation. Assess equipment/software requirements, designs, integration, tests, and deficiencies, and propose solutions for equipment/software deficiencies.

Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, certification working groups, and other technical discussions as required.


Qualifications:
An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance

Bachelor's Degree in any engineering discipline

A minimum of EIGHT (8) years of relevant Avionics engineering experience; a Master's Degree may substitute for 2 years of relevant experience​

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Engineering and Technical Management (ETM), Engineering (ENG), or equivalent under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA).

Experience in aircraft development, production, and/or modernization programs is highly valued.

Experience within Air Force weapon system acquisition/program office is advantageous.
