Position Summary

As a Lead Systems Architect, you will engage in the evaluation, design, development, and execution of both new and existing systems or subsystems. Your responsibilities may encompass Architectural Design, Requirements Engineering, and more. You will determine system specifications and facilitate the acquisition of necessary hardware and software, including subcontractor services as required.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a team of engineers in executing technical projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Design, develop, analyze, document, and support the testing of products, systems, or subsystems.
  • Utilize computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis tools in your assignments.
  • Review customer specifications and requirements, developing designs that align with them while considering cost as a critical factor.
  • Provide input on budget, cost, and schedule for design tasks.
  • Specify and assess supplier components, subsystems, and services.
  • Drive program design to meet cost and manufacturability requirements.
  • Develop prototypes to mitigate key development risks.
  • Communicate effectively (both written and oral) with company personnel and customers as necessary.
  • Contribute to proposal preparation.
  • Offer technical expertise and support to fellow engineers and support staff.
  • Lead and guide the work of junior engineers as assigned.
  • Promote and uphold the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
  • Participate in relevant engineering, customer, or business meetings.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, is required. Candidates should demonstrate fluency in applicable technologies and domains, along with the capability to independently lead a technical team.

This role necessitates an active DOD security clearance or the ability to secure such clearance within a reasonable timeframe following employment commencement.
