Key Responsibilities
The Senior Structural Engineering Manager will be instrumental in overseeing the design and execution of a variety of projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers significant potential for career advancement within our innovative engineering firm. The ideal candidate will have a client-focused mindset and a knack for creative problem-solving.
- Lead and manage the design and execution of diverse engineering projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality expectations.
- Facilitate regular meetings with engineering teams, collaborate with other disciplines, and engage with contractors throughout all project phases.
- Contribute to the development and management of project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Address and resolve technical challenges during both design and construction phases.
- Prepare detailed structural specifications, select appropriate construction methods, determine material requirements, and perform necessary calculations for effective design.
- Encourage ongoing development and mentorship of project team members.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Possession of a Structural Engineering license is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering is required.
- At least three years of experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams is ideal.
- Demonstrated experience with relevant building codes and design standards is essential.
- Proficiency in widely-used structural engineering software and tools is required.
- Strong understanding of various structural materials and their applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
