Position Overview
Project Structural Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Project Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering structural engineering calculations and drawings across a diverse range of projects and materials. You will collaborate closely with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure the successful technical delivery of structural documentation. Additionally, you will engage with local building authorities to facilitate the acquisition of necessary permits. This position offers the opportunity to expand our project portfolio while enhancing your professional skills through guidance and mentorship from our leadership team, with the potential for career advancement into management roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed engineering design for gravity and lateral systems involving concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures.
- Engage directly with clients and building officials to ensure project alignment and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of design development and construction documentation.
- Utilize commercial software to create and interpret data from 3D structural analysis models.
- Keep senior management informed of critical design decisions and progress towards client objectives.
- Contribute to the enhancement of the firm's standards and technical expertise.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support project requirements.
- Possess a valid driver's license for travel purposes.
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Proficiency in software such as RISA 3D, Microsoft Excel, SAFE, ETABS, Bluebeam, Ram Structural Systems, and Enercalc is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
- Excellent verbal, written, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with BIM tools, particularly REVIT Structural, is necessary as our projects are exclusively developed in Revit.
