Etana Custody is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team. This position is essential for guiding our financial strategy and operations.

We specialize in providing an industry-leading suite of custody and trading solutions for cryptocurrencies, digital assets, and global currencies, ensuring a secure environment for our clients.

Role Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer will play a crucial role in the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO. This position involves overseeing financial operations, leading audits, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and establishing scalable financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
    • Supervise daily financial activities, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions.
    • Oversee the month-end closing process, including reconciliations, accruals, and revenue recognition.
    • Work with the financial planning team to enhance reporting and budgeting efforts.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations.
    • Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay updated on accounting standards and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
    • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial integrity.
    • Develop and document accounting policies to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Audit Coordination:
    • Act as the main contact for annual audits, collaborating with external auditors for efficient processes.
    • Prepare necessary documentation and schedules for audits, ensuring adherence to standards.
    • Address audit findings proactively and implement necessary corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial best practices and US GAAP.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a focus on team development.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
