Additionally, it provides comprehensive financial analysis and advisory services. The majority of the Firm's revenue is derived from international clients, primarily Global Fortune 500 companies. Recently, the Firm has expanded into the emerging alternative asset management sector, concentrating on energy transition investments.

Regulatory Framework. Operating as an SEC-registered broker-dealer, the Firm conducts securities transactions and serves as a registered investment advisor for its fund operations.

Work Environment. The Firm fosters a collaborative workplace culture where employees are expected to demonstrate a strong work ethic and contribute actively to team objectives. Customer satisfaction and repeat business are paramount.

Position Overview. This full-time role involves serving as the general counsel for the Firm and providing transaction counsel on various deals. As the sole attorney within the organization, you will handle a range of legal matters including confidentiality agreements, term sheets, engagement letters, investor development agreements, and more. Your responsibilities will also encompass training team members on confidentiality and term sheet issues, as well as managing relationships with external legal counsel.

This position offers significant visibility both internally and externally, with substantial domestic and international travel required. You will attend client meetings and industry conferences, and manage relationships with major law firms that represent Burnham or its clients.

Within a specified timeframe, you will assume the role of Chief Compliance Officer, overseeing the Firm's regulatory obligations to FINRA, the SEC, and other relevant jurisdictions. You will have access to compliance consultants and third-party law firms to support your efforts.

Qualifications. Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 7 years of legal experience, having worked at a major law firm or in-house at a company with significant capital markets activities. A Juris Doctor (JD) is required, and candidates with finance experience or an MBA are preferred.

Incentive Compensation. The position is eligible for a discretionary incentive compensation program.

Licensing Requirements. Appropriate FINRA licenses, such as Series 7, Series 79, and Series 66, are required for this position. The Firm will assist candidates in obtaining these licenses within a designated timeframe.
