Position: Patient Access Specialist

As a Patient Access Specialist, your role will be crucial in ensuring optimal patient access and enhancing the accuracy of data entry for scheduling and clinical communications. You will act as the primary contact for patients and the physician's office, delivering exemplary customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promptly answer phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Accurately collect and input demographic information into our systems.
  • Schedule appointments while providing detailed instructions to callers regarding necessary items and expectations for their visit.
  • Guide patients on utilizing the intake system for new patient forms prior to their appointments.
  • Inform callers about our cancellation and no-show policies.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide additional information as needed to ensure a patient-centered experience and a positive impression of our organization.
  • Recognize when to escalate calls to Physicians, Supervisors, Managers, or Medical Assistants.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or a clinical setting.
  • High School diploma or GED required; an Associate's Degree or relevant healthcare certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness, with a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
  • Exhibit excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
