Human Resources Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Department of Transportation is seeking a highly skilled Staff Services Analyst to join our team. As a Staff Services Analyst, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the Division of Design, including recruiting personnel services, coordinating with hiring supervisors, and processing paperwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit and select candidates for vacant positions
- Coordinate with hiring supervisors to initiate the hiring process
- Process paperwork and obtain approvals
- Work with the Division of Human Resources to handle routine personnel matters
- Perform analytical services, including tracking and managing positions
- Assist the Quality Control Program Manager in delivering the QC/QA program
- Extract data and provide reports from various sources
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or a related field
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
This position is located in a climate-controlled office environment. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement will be based on Caltrans's evolving telework policy.
