Job Summary

As a Sales Manager/Owner at Marriott Vacations Worldwide, you will play a critical role in contributing to the success of our organization and sales distribution site. Your primary responsibility will be to effectively utilize sales techniques and processes to convert prospective owners into purchasers, as well as reload existing owners. You will develop relationships with prospective owners by soliciting and following up on referrals and leads, and cater the sales experience to the individual needs and preferences of each potential owner. You will also be responsible for following through with the sales contract process to ensure that all required paperwork and legally required documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual who possesses a high school diploma or GED, proficiency in English, and an active and in-good standing professional Real Estate License where mandated by law. Preferred candidates will have one year of related experience and be willing to work weekends and holidays as required by business needs.

Job Specific Tasks

As a Sales Manager/Owner, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a customer base by answering owner questions, following up on referrals and leads, and fulfilling requests regarding pricing, property maps, and portfolio information. You will also be responsible for contacting owners to monitor satisfaction, make aware of upcoming promotions, and develop business opportunities. Additionally, you will develop and maintain records on customer contacts and use that information to support effective follow-up opportunities.

Giving Sales Presentations

You will be responsible for following and adhering to the Consultative Sales Process when presenting to owners and guests. You will establish trust with the prospective owner and owners throughout the entire sales process to build on-going rapport. You will discover the needs of prospective owners and owners through a series of strategically layered questions and discussion, and utilize the information to customize the sales presentation. You will also provide prospective owners and owners a Sales Gallery, Property and Model tour specific to their sales distribution site, and explain the features, advantages, and benefits of the product and advocate the appropriate amount of points to accommodate the prospective owners and owners current and future vacation needs.

Conducting and Managing Business Transactions

You will be responsible for assuring complete and accurate processing of documents pertaining to sales, reviewing details of contracts with prospective owners and owners, and thoroughly reviewing loan applications and financial documents with the customer. You will also work with Sales Management to minimize cancellations, provide comprehensive owner assurance, and ensure timeliness of closings.

Providing Service to Others

You will be responsible for responding to and monitoring the resolution of customer and owner inquiries in a timely manner with accurate information, and leveraging resources for providing service to guests and owners. You will also manage time effectively to punctually attend daily team meetings, training sessions, and guest/owner appointments.

Other

You will be responsible for demonstrating total understanding of the culture and processes of the organization, improving sales presentation approach through self-critique, practice, and lessons from the feedback provided by others, and participating in formal training sessions offered by management team. You will also attend daily huddles and regularly scheduled team/manager meetings, and assist in the development and mentoring of other Sales/Membership Executives as requested.
