Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Staff Assistant to provide administrative support to the Executive Director and other staff members of the Department of Cultural Diversity. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support
    • Prepare routine correspondence in English and Spanish
    • Assist in the preparation of information packets and documentation for meetings and events
    • Respond to requests for information and resources from bishops, diocesan staff, and national organizations
  • Technical Support
    • Maintain and update databases and mailing lists
    • Provide technical support for office operations and special events
  • Bookkeeping and Financial Management
    • Prepare requests for payments and travel reimbursements
    • Handle cash deposits and billing
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills
    • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Interact regularly with bishops, diocesan staff, and national organizations
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma required; 2 years of college or commensurate experience preferred
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment
  • Language
    • Fluency in English and Spanish
