Grants Administrator III Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Grants Administrator III to join our team at the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI). As a key member of our Grants Administration team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) and James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) grant programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute all grant activities in all phases of the grant life-cycle, including pre-award reviews, post-award monitoring and administration, and closeout.
  • Work with investigators and research administration staff at institutions to assist with pre-award and proposal questions, evaluate eligibility, and determine cost allowability.
  • Provide support and training to institutions related to the application of the STScI General Grant Provisions to STScI grants.
  • Review recipient audit reports as well as business, financial, administrative, and management policies and practices to evaluate risks posed by recipient institutions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of ten years of prior grants administration experience working with federally funded grants and 2 CFR 200.
  • Experience working in a sponsor organization is desirable but not required.
  • A Bachelor's degree along with excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence and customer service.
