We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medication Technician to join our team at Inspirations of Tempe. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications and providing physical and psychosocial care.
Key Responsibilities- Administer or assist with the administration of medications to residents in a safe and accurate manner.
- Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents, promoting dignity, choice, and individuality.
- Document medications administered and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct change of shift reports with oncoming/outgoing shift personnel.
- Maintain security of medication cart and narcotic keys during entire shift.
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Work collaboratively with peers and other team members to ensure high-quality care.
- Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing in relation to medication aides.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor.
