Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of our Family Enrichment Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the center, building partnerships with stakeholders, and creating a culture of teamwork and collaboration among staff and community members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the Family Enrichment Center, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Build partnerships with stakeholders from multiple sectors, including community members, public officials, and public and private organizations.
  • Create and engage an advisory council of community members to facilitate collaborative decision making and appreciative inquiry.
  • Manage the budget and processes for collaborative hiring, training, and coaching of FEC team members.
  • Create a culture of teamwork and collaboration among staff, FEC participants, and parent and caregiver members of the Advisory Council, built on equity, inclusiveness, and non-hierarchical decision making.
  • Serve as a liaison to ACS, maintain consistent communication with the ACS FEC Program Management team to discuss progress and ensure adherence to contractual responsibilities.
  • Support continuous learning activities to ensure adherence to the model, continuous feedback from community members, and continuous growth towards goals developed collaboratively with ACS, parent and caregiver members of the Advisory Council, and community members.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community development, program management, and team leadership. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with community members, stakeholders, and staff.

Physical Demands

The employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, handle, or feel, talk, hear, smell, or taste. On rare occasions, it may be necessary to move quickly, run, etc. The employee will frequently be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee will occasionally be required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
