POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Client Navigator at Highland Park Community Development Corp, you will oversee tenant programs and facilitate connections with community service providers. Your role will involve assisting clients in securing access to external immigration legal counsel and managing essential pre-filing requirements for various applications, including green cards, social security, SNAP, and other benefits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Green Card Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with external immigration attorneys and recruitment teams to manage pre-filing requirements for the initial step of the three-step green card application process.
- Visa Case Oversight
- Addressing Additional Immigration Matters: Handle other immigration-related issues as they arise.
- Documentation of Policies and Processes: Create resources such as employee FAQs on green cards and immigration information for Human Capital Management.
- Reporting and Metrics: Develop quarterly dashboards detailing visa holders and green card applicants.
- Data Verification: Ensure accuracy in immigration support documentation, including obtaining necessary signatures and drafting documents when required.
- Outreach for Bilingual Services: Maintain and enhance outreach efforts to provide services for bilingual clients.
- Crisis Intervention: Offer crisis support and refer clients to educational, substance abuse, employment, childcare, mental health, and other necessary services.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities and special projects as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education & Experience:
- Associate degree
- Knowledge of U.S. immigration processes
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish)
- Self-motivated with a focus on client service
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CARES.
- Language Proficiency:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos; write clear correspondence; and present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings with stakeholders, clients, and colleagues.
