Role Overview
As a member of our elite design team, you will play a crucial role in the architecture, design, and integration of the baseband systems across all Apple devices. A solid understanding of computer system architecture and digital design principles is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to the digital and power management aspects of wireless chipsets from initial concept through to product launch.
  • Collaborate with top-tier architects and IC designers during the architectural phase of next-generation chipsets.
  • Oversee the schematic design, layout, and bring-up processes for both development and production hardware.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and coexistence issues that arise from the scale of Apple’s product offerings.
  • Engage in extensive collaboration with various teams, including Apple SoC, battery, and sensor groups, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the overall product ecosystem.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and layout design.
  • Experience in mobile platform system design and high-volume consumer electronics.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with voltage regulators, LDOs, and switch mode power supplies (SMPS).
  • Knowledge of high-speed and low-speed digital interfaces such as PCIe, SPMI, I2C, and UART.
  • Experience with bench-level design verification using high-speed oscilloscopes.
  • Signal and power integrity simulation experience with tools like Matlab, PowerSI, SIwave, and HFSS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
