What You'll Get To Do:

As an Embedded Systems Engineer at Panasonic, you will be integral to our hardware and software development teams, specializing in the design, implementation, and optimization of embedded systems.

Development and Integration

  • Responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of software and hardware components into fully functional embedded systems.

Innovation and Enhancement

  • Actively participate in research and adoption of new technologies to enhance product features and operational capabilities.

Quality and Documentation

  • Ensure high standards of quality are met in software and hardware development. Maintain comprehensive documentation of code and system configurations.

What You'll Bring:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related specialization focusing on embedded systems.

Essential Experience

  • A minimum of 2-3 years in embedded software and hardware development.
  • Experience in implementing and managing control systems within embedded environments.
  • Proficiency in C and C++ and Python, with advanced skills in object-oriented programming and multithreading.
  • Solid experience with the robotics operating systems and in deploying various embedded technologies such as sensors, computing systems, and actuators.

Technical Skills

  • Demonstrated ability in sensor integration, including but not limited to proximity sensors, inertial measurement units, IMUs, ultra wideband, UWB technology, and camera systems.
  • Strong background in hardware architecture, circuit board design, and the development of prototypes.

Advantageous Experience

  • Proven ability to incorporate machine learning algorithms and augmented reality into embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with sensor fusion algorithms and techniques.
  • Problem solving, team collaboration, Detail oriented, adaptability and learning
  • Works effectively in team settings, communicates clearly, and supports team objectives.
  • Preferably onsite, Waltham, MA, or remote with 25% travel to the office.
