Role Overview

The Simulation team is at the forefront of addressing one of the most significant challenges in autonomous driving: assessing the performance of our self-driving software before it is deployed on public roads.

As a Senior Applied Scientist within this team, you will utilize your expertise in robotics, machine learning, and optimization, combined with strong software engineering skills, to develop high-fidelity simulations. These simulations are crucial for training and evaluating our autonomous vehicle systems.

  • Independently tackle complex technical challenges with creativity and precision.
  • Collaborate effectively across various engineering teams to drive innovative solutions.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of our autonomous driving software stack and simulation frameworks.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficient programming skills in C++.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams and deliver high-quality results in a remote work environment.
  • Strong passion for safe, fully-electric, self-driving technology.

Desired:

  • Experience in developing or enhancing robotic simulation frameworks.
  • Proficient programming skills in Python.
Compensation and Benefits
