Role Overview
The Simulation team is tackling one of the most challenging aspects of autonomous driving: assessing the performance of our driving software before it operates on public roads.

As a Senior Applied Scientist within the Simulation team, you will utilize your expertise in robotics, machine learning, optimization, and related fields, coupled with advanced software engineering skills, to propel innovative ideas and technologies from conception to implementation. Your work will focus on creating high-fidelity, high-performance simulations that enable us to train and evaluate our autonomous vehicle software stack.

We seek an engineer capable of independently addressing complex challenges with creativity and precision while fostering collaboration across extensive engineering teams.

This position will provide you with in-depth knowledge of our autonomous driving software stack, simulation frameworks, and testing tools.

Essential Qualifications
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Proficient programming skills in C++
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and consistently deliver quality outcomes in a remote work environment
- Enthusiasm for safe, fully-electric, self-driving technology and its societal impact

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developing or enhancing robotic simulation frameworks
- Strong programming skills in Python
