Position Overview

The On-Call Residential Advisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and supportive living environment for students. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the well-being and development of residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance duties in residential areas, including light bulb replacements and minor repairs on laundry equipment.
  • Resource Management: Manage and distribute supplies related to Social Development to designated areas.
  • Behavior Monitoring: Supervise student conduct in communal dining spaces during meal times.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Ensure that the outdoor areas surrounding the dormitory and Social Development facilities are kept in excellent condition.
  • Resident Support: Provide assistance as a Resident Advisor in dormitory settings when necessary.
  • Discipline Enforcement: Maintain order and promote self-discipline among students within the assigned residential area.
  • Training Participation: Attend mandatory training sessions and staff meetings as required.
  • Policy Adherence: Follow all established policies and procedures diligently.
  • Transportation Duties: Facilitate transportation for students to various activities, events, or appointments as needed.
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct regular fire and safety inspections, keeping accurate logs of findings.
  • Secure Environment: Foster a safe and secure atmosphere for both students and staff members.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Keep electronic logs as directed by management.
  • Audit Review: Review case notes and documentation for compliance and accuracy.
