About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our advertising identity transformation opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive crisp and timely execution based on customer impact and business opportunity
  • Manage diverse requests and dependencies from worldwide teams
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve delivery and operational efficiency
  • Interface with and influence stakeholders, balancing business needs vs. technical constraints and driving clarity in ambiguous situations
  • Monitor metrics and program health, anticipate and clear blockers, manage escalations

A Day in the Life

You will organize design reviews with partner engineering teams, ask probing questions to ensure designs meet customer needs, and ensure follow-up action items are clear and assigned. You will also write 1-pagers to seek senior leadership guidance on project issues and prepare bi-weekly program summaries to keep senior leadership and other interested teams aware of progress toward goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
