Job Title: General Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our fitness club operations and provide an exceptional member experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee gym operations to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for members.
  • Lead a team of employees in a positive and motivating manner, providing continuous training and development opportunities.
  • Recruit, hire, and train staff to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Manage marketing efforts to promote the club and attract new members.
  • Authorize expenditures and refunds, and make daily bank deposits.
  • Prepare HR-related forms and send to Corporate Payroll Team.
  • Track statistics and reports to ensure the club's success.
Requirements:
  • Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
  • Experience working as an Assistant Manager at Planet Fitness is recommended.
  • Exceptional leadership, diplomacy, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers.
  • Hard working, enthusiastic, and energetic.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
  • Strong problem resolution skills.
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Environment: Work is performed in an indoor environment; exposure to noise, dust, mechanical and electrical hazards, and cleaning chemicals.

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, and stand for prolonged periods of time; to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amounts of weight (up to 50lbs); and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Occasional travel required for off-site meetings. Must maintain physical ability to administer CPR in the event of medical emergency.
