Grants Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Grants Accountant to manage the financial aspects of grants received by our organization and ensure compliance with grant regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and monitor grant budgets, including preparation and submission of grant requests
- Ensure compliance with grant regulations and guidelines by maintaining accurate records and tracking expenses
- Prepare and submit grant reports, including financial statements and other required documentation
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial plans
- Perform account reconciliations and analysis
- Prepare audit schedules and assist with audit preparation
- Assist with project prioritization and ensure grant funds are allocated appropriately
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with general ledger maintenance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of experience in grant management and reporting
- Experience with Abila, MIP Sage Fund Accounting, or similar accounting software
- Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to reconcile data
- Experience with federal grant regulations, including HUD and other state grant programs
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
