  • Facilitate additional educational sessions for families to promote overall household safety.

Resource Coordination and Advocacy:

  • Assist families in accessing resources related to lead safety, asthma management, and other environmental health concerns.
  • Advocate for families facing housing challenges to help them secure safe and stable living conditions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective cross-education initiatives.

Program Development and Community Engagement:

  • Regularly update and enhance GHHI's educational curriculum and training materials based on current environmental research.
  • Engage in community outreach through events, health fairs, and informational meetings as needed.
  • Deliver presentations to health professionals, housing experts, and community members when required.

Data Management and Planning:

  • Accurately document data in GHHI's Client Database.
  • Provide essential outcome data to funding partners, including insights related to client needs and feedback.
  • Develop and monitor annual project plans, establishing program goals and benchmarks.

Collaboration and Liaison:

  • Act as a liaison between tenants and homeowners, as well as between families and relevant agencies.
  • Work with the Outreach and Education Manager to build community partnerships that promote educational initiatives and connect GHHI services with target audiences.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to team discussions.
  • Assist in preparing reports for various funding agencies.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to highlight success stories.
  • Provide insights on policy and program best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative and respectful work environment with all staff and clients.
  • Support the broader mission and initiatives of GHHI.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with the organization's mission.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience in home visiting services or client support is preferred; a demonstrated aptitude for service delivery is essential.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, prioritize tasks, and complete projects on time.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Willingness to obtain necessary certifications related to lead safety and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
  • A collaborative spirit and a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of low-income families.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in public health, environmental science, social work, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in housing intervention or related fields is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience with housing programs and initiatives related to health and safety is beneficial.
