Key Responsibilities
  • Program Coordination: Coordinate the implementation of mathematics education programs across grades K-12, ensuring alignment with state and national standards.
  • Professional Development: Develop and deliver professional development opportunities for mathematics teachers and specialists, focusing on best practices and research-based strategies.
  • Leadership and Support: Provide leadership and support to mathematics specialists, including coaching, mentoring, and supervision.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of mathematics education programs.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data to inform decision making and drive program improvement, ensuring that mathematics education programs are meeting the needs of students and teachers.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Three years of teaching experience in mathematics and/or STEM, preferably in elementary and secondary settings, and three years of experience developing and delivering professional development opportunities.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with teachers and administrators, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other educational software.
