Fire Protection Project Supervisor

The Field Superintendent is tasked with overseeing and managing the performance of field personnel across various projects, which may encompass fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm installations, portable safety equipment, KEC, or other divisions within the organization. This role involves coordinating the efforts of multiple departments engaged in a project. Their leadership ensures that our field teams are supported and that client expectations are fulfilled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with project management teams to confirm the accuracy of project designs prior to the commencement of work.
  • Managing the procurement and scheduling of all necessary equipment for the project.
  • Serving as the primary communication link between field operations and the office.
  • Overseeing work schedules and timekeeping for all field personnel.
  • Providing guidance and leadership to on-site teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Addressing and resolving client concerns effectively.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with safety protocols.
  • Monitoring project progress to guarantee adherence to deadlines.
  • Reporting project outcomes in a precise and timely manner.
  • Safeguarding and maintaining company assets.
  • Inspecting and servicing vehicles and related equipment, submitting repair requests as needed to ensure safe operation.
  • Operating warehouse machinery, including vehicles, to facilitate the loading and unloading of equipment while following all safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Adhering to safety procedures, including driver safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Responding to emergency service requests.
  • Maintaining a tidy and secure work environment.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in the industry.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including potential evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of life safety principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in reviewing official documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Capability to identify and report discrepancies through inspection processes.
  • Understanding and application of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Competence in following oral and written instructions.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Complying with the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Carrying out other duties as assigned.


Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands for handling or feeling, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally lift or move heavy objects.
  • Must possess physical abilities necessary to perform essential job functions, including balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual acuity.
