The Fire Protection Sales Specialist is tasked with securing profitable new construction projects and fostering relationships with both new and existing clients, aligning with our goals of operational profitability and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend construction fundamentals and interpret construction documents effectively
  • Execute routine tasks such as document downloads, folder organization, and completion of Excel and Word files
  • Collaborate with sales team members to ensure timely and efficient estimates
  • Conduct data entry for comprehensive job tracking
  • Develop preliminary system layouts and designs for project estimates
  • Engage with clients as necessary
  • Communicate with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) or other regulatory bodies
  • Draft and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) during the bidding process
  • Maintain technical proficiency in relevant design standards and codes
  • Experience with drafting software such as AutoSprink or SprinkCAD is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with company-specific estimating tools and forms
  • Attend RFP sales meetings as required by management
  • Conduct code research pertinent to specific projects as needed
  • Monitor online plan room services for upcoming project opportunities
  • Complete and manage contractor and owner pre-qualification forms as necessary
  • Oversee project portal websites, including Bid Clerk and Gov.Spend
  • Participate in trade shows, including booth setup and operation during exhibition hours
  • Host client entertainment events, which may include breakfast meetings, lunch presentations, or social gatherings
  • Travel domestically as required
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with new and existing clients
  • Analyze customer preferences to effectively direct sales efforts
  • Provide regular performance feedback and reports
  • Represent the company to potential clients and customers
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating and selling fire protection services

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform light lifting and stand or walk for extended periods, including climbing ladders
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members
  • Eagerness to enhance sales and customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software
