This role is crucial for ensuring the effective operation and upkeep of fire sprinkler systems. Key responsibilities include evaluating, testing, and conducting system assessments. The foreman will play a pivotal role in leading small teams on client sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on fire sprinkler systems.
  • Conduct servicing and inspections of various systems including wet, dry, and pre-action.
  • Evaluate, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler apparatus and systems in strict compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Engage with clients in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Provide advanced technical support to team members and clients as necessary.
  • Instruct and mentor apprentices and helpers in trade skills.
  • Complete thorough inspection reports, documenting any findings and reporting results of completed work accurately and promptly.
  • Safeguard and maintain company equipment.
  • Inspect and uphold the condition of the service vehicle and associated equipment, submitting repair requests as needed to ensure safe operation.
  • Operate warehouse machinery, including vehicles, to facilitate loading and unloading while adhering to all safety regulations and equipment instructions.
  • Work safely in accordance with company safety protocols, including driver safety and personal protective equipment usage.
  • Respond to urgent service requests.
  • Maintain a tidy and secure work environment.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25.
  • Experience with both commercial and residential systems.
  • Proficient in operating sprinkler trade tools, including impact wrenches, band saws, measuring instruments, manual lifting devices, grooving machines, threading machines, and powered industrial lifting devices.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Must possess a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including potential evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
  • Ability to take on a leadership role.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Comply with the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
Physical Requirements:
  • This position requires regular standing, walking, using hands for various tasks, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and occasionally lifting or moving heavy objects.
  • The role also demands physical capabilities such as balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual acuity.
