This role is crucial for ensuring the effective functioning and upkeep of fire sprinkler systems. Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, testing, and system evaluations. The foreman will play a pivotal role in identifying system shortcomings and generating precise and timely inspection documentation. Leading a team of 2-3 technicians, this position oversees operations at various client locations.

Since our establishment, we have been dedicated to providing comprehensive fire protection services across multiple regions. For over 35 years, we have assisted both residential and commercial clients in safeguarding their properties against fire hazards. Our clients trust us for the installation and maintenance of their fire sprinkler and alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on fire sprinkler systems.
  • Conduct servicing and inspections of various system types, including wet, dry, and pre-action systems.
  • Inspect, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler equipment in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Engage with clients professionally and courteously.
  • Provide advanced technical support to team members and clients as necessary.
  • Train and mentor apprentices and helpers in trade skills.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting issues and outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Safeguard and maintain company tools and equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain the service vehicle and related equipment, submitting repair requests as needed.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while performing job duties, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Respond to emergency service requests.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe work environment.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25 standards.
  • Experience with both commercial and residential fire protection systems.
  • Proficient in operating sprinkler trade tools and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively or independently.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity, as well as the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
