Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design and develop plumbing and fire protection systems for buildings, including piping and equipment selection, fire pumps, mains, standpipes, flow controls, and sprinkler head layout.
- Project Management: Manage all phases of the project, from design to construction administration, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with clients, architects, and other engineers to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance and support.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with building life safety, fire, mechanical, and plumbing codes, including ICC Standards, NFPA Codes and Standards, FM Global, and Federal Standards.
- Leadership and Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to staff engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Certificate in Engineering.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in plumbing design and fire protection design.
- Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT, MS Office, and ability to travel across the country for field work.
- Certifications: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred.
