HVAC Sales Account Executive

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of Johnson Controls' Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit solutions to key decision-makers, including Facility Directors, C-suite executives, and Vice Presidents.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour primary duties will include:
- Promoting the value proposition of Johnson Controls' Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit projects to building owners and end users by offering tailored business and technical solutions.
- Establishing and nurturing long-term customer relationships within designated accounts and opportunities.
- Collaborating with local market owner sales teams, project development engineers, and project leaders to convert leads into contracts, maximizing the range of JCI products and services.
- Executing the sales process effectively to cultivate and manage enduring relationships while identifying, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities.
With minimal supervision, you will confidently sell Johnson Controls' Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit offerings to building owners at the executive level, aiming to achieve optimal profit margins within your assigned accounts.
Your focus will be on enhancing existing and new facilities to help building owners meet their business objectives. You will also expand JCI's product offerings and service agreements, including multi-year contracts, to new clients.
Performance GoalsAchieve a minimum of $5 million in annual Prime Retrofit sales within your assigned accounts and markets while meeting designated margin targets.
Relationship BuildingDevelop strong partnerships with decision-makers and their representatives to drive the sale of Johnson Controls' Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit offerings.
Address customer operational and environmental needs, recommending solutions that align with their objectives and highlighting the competitive advantages of our offerings.
Innovation in SalesDifferentiate Johnson Controls' services from competitors by employing creativity and innovation in your sales approach.
MentorshipActively foster a mentorship relationship with an Account Executive within your branch to support their professional development as a Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit salesperson, enhancing overall productivity.
CollaborationWork across various domains to identify and close Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit opportunities, focusing on performance-based agreements.
QualificationsWe are looking for candidates with:
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in executive-level sales within the Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit sector.
- At least 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry.
- Experience in selling advanced analytics and integrated digital solutions.
- A strong commitment to integrity and quality in business practices.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
- The ability to influence key market players.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications and various reporting tools, including financial and market share analytics.
Willingness to travel up to 25% for business purposes is required.
