Key ResponsibilitiesFocus on promoting renewable maintenance agreements as the cornerstone for building these relationships.
The representative will operate within a designated geographic area, collaborating with a local branch office and partnering with sales and operations teams.
Utilize sales tools to strategize and document sales progress while enhancing business opportunities within existing accounts.
It is expected that the representative will secure and finalize business on a monthly basis.
Sales StrategyEmploy a disciplined and professional approach to identify, target, and qualify potential new clients; leverage market conditions and network effectively to uncover new leads.
Engage with prospective clients and arrange meetings. Establish a referral network to identify new opportunities.
Conduct sales calls aimed at uncovering key issues and/or dissatisfaction faced by Facility Directors in managing heating, cooling, ventilation, and control systems.
Instill a sense of urgency to address client needs and position Johnson Controls as the preferred supplier.
Propose tailored solutions to meet prospective clients' needs through innovative applications of local branch service capabilities, emphasizing renewable maintenance agreements and digital service offerings focused on sustainability and decarbonization.
Understand the client's business environment and communicate effectively.
Review and finalize proposals with clients, securing their commitment to the Johnson Controls solution.
Facilitate customer kick-off meetings, address client concerns, create follow-up opportunities, maintain service agreements, extend service agreements, and assist in the collections process.
Keep management updated on progress and account status using Johnson Controls tools and other communication methods.
Recognize when to seek assistance from management to ensure the sales process remains on track.
Marketing and RepresentationDevelop and implement territory marketing strategies aligned with the Johnson Controls Building Solutions business objectives.
Participate in trade shows and engage with professional organizations.
Represent Johnson Controls with professionalism, adhering to the highest standards of quality, integrity, and performance.
QualificationsRequired:
2-3 years of progressive experience in sales roles.
Preferred:
A strong aptitude for technical knowledge with meticulous attention to detail.
Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to engage both individuals and groups.
Experience in selling services and intangible products.
Familiarity with sales methodologies, standards, and practices.
Bonus Qualifications:
Knowledge of Building HVAC Systems.
Relevant experience in the field.
Post-secondary education.
