Position Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for a range of essential duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for RF microwave modules and subsystems, playing a pivotal role in component design, including material selection, manufacturing methods, mechanical stress analysis, load distribution, tolerancing, and manufacturability considerations, along with the preparation of comprehensive documentation and detailed technical reviews.
  • Conduct engineering calculations to support design initiatives, including stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) for mechanical integrity and tolerance assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with electrical, process, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure the seamless integration of electrical and manufacturing processes into designs.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software.
  • Possess a general understanding of materials such as Aluminum, Molybdenum, Kovar, and ceramics.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Show excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Have some experience with FEA modeling setup and validation to ensure accurate analysis.
  • Assess customer validation requirements and develop appropriate testing methods and design jigs.
  • Evaluate design alternatives based on cost, quality, and production feasibility.
  • Prepare test reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Lead product testing initiatives and coordinate various related activities.
  • Document assembly and testing procedures, programs, and systems, including the creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings in the company's ERP/PDM system.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CAD design, particularly with SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with FEA is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $71,940.00 and $96,140.00. Please note that actual compensation will be determined based on various factors, including location, education, work experience, key skills, and the specific nature of the position.
