Residential Sales Area Manager

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is seeking a Residential Area Sales Manager.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Area Sales Manager's primary goal is to enhance the market presence of Mitsubishi Electric systems by leveraging and nurturing relationships with key distributor representatives and local contractors. This position focuses on onboarding, training, and supporting both new and existing Diamond Contractors to foster success in the marketplace, positively influencing growth for contractors, distributors, and METUS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with distributor personnel and contractors to implement growth strategies while expanding the Diamond Contractor Community.
- Strengthen partnerships with distributor sales teams, contractors, utility providers, and builders to drive sales growth.
- Articulate the value proposition of Mitsubishi products, emphasizing the advantages of the comprehensive range of whole home solutions.
- Engage in local professional organizations, industry associations, distributor trade exhibitions, and other relevant events.
- Conduct sales and application training, marketing initiatives, and annual assessments at both contractor and distributor levels.
- Assist distributors with inventory management and project quotations as required.
- Enhance the sales capabilities of distributor personnel in promoting Mitsubishi products to residential contractors.
- Formulate a Residential Market Strategy for the designated territory utilizing market analytics.
- Maintain and update contractor information in Salesforce.
- Acquire expertise in application and installation techniques for both new and existing products.
- Provide monthly reports to the Regional Manager regarding market trends and activities.
- Collaborate with Commercial Business Unit counterparts to seize sales opportunities across the entire ME US product line.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory for distributor, dealer, and trade organization meetings, as well as for various company gatherings outside the territory.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of sales experience, ideally within the HVAC sector.
- 1-3 years of experience engaging with residential and mechanical contractors.
- Familiarity with HVAC wholesale and dealer networks is advantageous.
- Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
- Demonstrated public speaking abilities to diverse audiences.
- Must reside within the designated Business Unit Territory.
- Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The anticipated base salary for this role ranges from $68,000 to $93,500 annually, with actual pay depending on various individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Additionally, the total compensation package may encompass other components, such as commissions based on achieving annual revenue targets, incentive compensation, and discretionary awards. Eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan and participate in company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for themselves and their eligible dependents. Employees are entitled to 80 hours of vacation annually, 56 hours of paid sick leave, and 13 paid holidays throughout the year, contingent on the hire date. Up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid leave may be available for eligible employees.
