CDD is a non-profit, community-focused organization that has been supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in their own residences across the Kansas City Metropolitan area for over 50 years. Our mission is to expand our services to reach even more individuals in need. Requirements for Management: All management personnel must possess a Class E driver license in Missouri or a Class C driver license in Kansas, have proof of auto insurance in their name for reliable transportation, and provide proof of educational qualifications. As a Residential Care Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinating and providing transportation for individuals to medical appointments as necessary;
  • Conducting visits to assigned locations at least twice weekly, or more frequently as required;
  • Reviewing daily shift notes in Therap to stay informed about necessary actions at locations;
  • Ensuring all medication adjustments are accurately documented;
  • Arranging timely medical treatment for illnesses or injuries;
  • Maintaining daily communication with staff to ensure consistency in addressing individual needs;
  • Supervising and scheduling adequate staff to meet required staffing ratios;
  • Documenting staff attendance and leave time, and verifying electronic timekeeping records for accuracy;
  • Submitting staff evaluations promptly;
  • Being on-call and adjusting schedules as needed to meet individual requirements;
  • Overseeing individual financial expenditures and maintaining necessary records;
  • Coordinating maintenance and overseeing the implementation of the agency's Physical Facilities and Safety Policy;
  • Facilitating monthly program meetings at each site;
  • Providing companionship, emotional support, crisis intervention, and behavioral counseling to individuals;
You may be an excellent fit for this role if you possess:
  • A High School Diploma/GED;
  • A Bachelor's degree in education, rehabilitation, or a social/behavioral science field is preferred;
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience with individuals with developmental disabilities;
  • At least 18 years of age;
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record;
  • The ability to pass medication administration, adult CPR, and First Aid training;
  • Your own vehicle and car insurance;
  • Experience in the developmental disabilities sector;
  • The physical ability to lift 10 pounds consistently, 20 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally;
