Job Summary

Heritage Bank is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Review Appraiser to join our team. As a key member of our lending team, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing commercial property appraisals to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze commercial property appraisals to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct site inspections and gather market data to support appraisal reports
  • Develop and maintain relationships with lending and credit teams to provide information and training as needed
  • Qualify external third-party appraisers for our approved appraiser list
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure compliance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate appraisal and/or review in a traditional and/or investment banking environment
  • Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in Washington, Oregon, or Idaho
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with ability to synthesize complex information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Working Environment

Our office environment is climate-controlled, and you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals. You will be required to travel occasionally to inspect properties and attend off-site meetings.

Physical Demands

This role requires prolonged sitting, with occasional standing, stooping, bending, and walking. You will also be required to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner, and facsimile.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel to inspect properties, attend off-site meetings, and visit other branch and department locations may be required. A valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation are necessary.
