Overview:


The goal is to provide an Administrative Security Coordinator to assist with a variety of responsibilities in the comprehensive management and support of Client Security Services for various headquarters and field offices that span across the nation.


Background:


The Office of Security (OSY) is dedicated to reducing risks to personnel, facilities, property, information, and assets through enhanced initiatives in diverse security domains by implementing Department-wide security policies and executing a multi-faceted security program that extends from the headquarters to our operational units.

OSY formulates and enforces these policies by developing procedures and delivering security services for the Office of the Secretary and other departmental bureaus nationwide.

Specifically, OSY establishes and enforces policies and procedures for conducting background checks and granting security clearances; safeguarding classified and sensitive documents and information; protecting departmental personnel, facilities, and property; assessing threats and determining risks to departmental assets; ensuring proper communications security; providing guidance to departmental offices and operational units on security-related matters; and ensuring adherence to security policies and procedures.


Responsibilities:
1. Manage office supplies and inventory

2. Perform shredding and secure disposal duties

3. Check for security-related mail in the designated office daily

4. Update spreadsheets for eQIP statuses, including reviewed, missing prints, missing paperwork, and corrections

5. Assist with necessary data tracking and compliance reporting

6. Handle Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

7. Answer office communications

8. Conduct fingerprinting appointments

9. Experience in taking photographs for identification and security badges, producing finished badges, and processing fingerprint requests

10. Enter data into databases for access control, verification of biographical and security data, processing visit requests, and tracking badges and keys for accountability

Qualifications:
1. Minimum of one year of relevant administrative experience

2. Proficient in developing reports using internal databases and Excel

3. Experience managing calendars in Outlook and scheduling meetings

4. Familiarity with assisting in office equipment property inventories

Education:
High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Associate's or Bachelor's Degree Preferred
