Job Overview

Geodesicx, Inc. is in search of a dedicated Quality Control Specialist to support our vehicular C4ISR/EW initiative. This position plays a crucial role in upholding the highest standards of quality and safety throughout product design and operational processes.

The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in addressing intricate technical challenges, backed by a solid foundation in engineering and software design/maintenance. A practical grasp of engineering principles is essential for effectively managing the quality assurance of both products and processes involved in the project.

Key Responsibilities:

The Quality Control Specialist will engage in a variety of tasks, including:

  • Conducting tests on equipment to verify operational effectiveness and safety, necessitating a strong ability to interpret technical plans and schematics.
  • Contributing significantly to the design and production of test specimens, ensuring they accurately reflect the products and systems under evaluation.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in computer-aided drafting (CAD) and preparing detailed shop drawings for model fabrication. A comprehensive understanding of material specifications and manufacturing techniques is also critical, as it influences both design and quality assurance practices.
  • Utilizing in-depth knowledge and practical skills to guarantee that every aspect of the project complies with rigorous quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborating with various teams, adopting a solution-focused mindset to tackle technical issues.

The Quality Control Specialist is integral to the success of the C4ISR/EW systems project, ensuring that all components are designed, tested, and executed with precision and care, in accordance with the project's goals and specifications. This role is ideal for individuals who blend theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in engineering, software design, and quality assurance, coupled with strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications:

Quality Control Specialist II:

Education:

  • High School diploma/GED, relevant military experience, or graduation from a trade/industrial school.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in resolving technical issues.
  • Trained in relevant skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance.
  • Possesses a practical understanding of engineering concepts.
  • Ensures that products/services and processes meet established quality and safety standards.
  • Experience includes testing equipment to confirm operational effectiveness and safety.
  • Ability to interpret technical plans and contribute to the design and production of test specimens.
  • Familiarity with computer-aided drafting (CAD), ability to prepare shop drawings for model fabrication, and knowledge of material specifications and manufacturing methods.

Quality Control Specialist III:

Education:

  • High School diploma/GED, relevant military experience, or graduation from a trade/industrial school.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in resolving technical issues.
  • Trained in relevant skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance.
  • Possesses a practical understanding of engineering concepts.
  • Ensures that products/services and processes meet established quality and safety standards.
  • Experience includes testing equipment to confirm operational effectiveness and safety.
  • Ability to interpret technical plans and contribute to the design and production of test specimens.
  • Familiarity with computer-aided drafting (CAD), ability to prepare shop drawings for model fabrication, and knowledge of material specifications and manufacturing methods.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
